Today’s fast paced home and business environment often forces us to prioritize everything that we do. Caller ID with Name helps you to quickly determine if an incoming phone call is the call you have been waiting for, an unexpected call from a spouse or child, or a less time sensitive issue. Determining which calls get immediate attention and which ones are allowed to go to voice mail allows you to focus on critical issues and make better decisions throughout your busy day.

You have it happen all the time; the phone rings, you jump up to answer it and then play detective to locate the person who should have answered it! This feature makes this “dance” a thing of the past. Distinctive ringing is an ingenious little feature, so simple yet so powerful. Program a special ringtone for another member of the family and enter up to 32 of the most common callers for that family member. If your spouse gets called (all the time!) by their parents, their best buddy, and the local charity they volunteer with; simply program those numbers into their list and whenever they call, the “Spouse” ringtone will let everyone know who the call is for.

Sit back and let it go to voice mail, or answer it if they aren’t around…. You choose. This is a great feature to pair up with the family voice mail box. Each family member gets their own mailbox, check your own messages without having to scroll through the rest of the family messages, what a great combo!

To guard against unexpected high telephone bills as a result of unauthorized toll calls made on your line, Oxford Networks offers a number of blocking services.

1+ Toll Denial (Condo Line)

With a 1+Toll Denial (Condo Line), you don’t have to worry that unauthorized toll calls will be made on your telephone line. A 1+Toll Denial (Condo Line) suppresses the ability to dial toll calls directly. Seven digit dialing cannot be used in conjunction with 1+Toll Denial (Condo Lines).

Complete Toll Restriction

Complete Toll Restriction denies the ability to dial toll calls or make operator assisted calls.

900 Blocking Service
Audiotext services are informational or entertainment services delivered via the telephone. You are typically charged for these services by the minute, which you access by dialing telephone numbers with 900 area codes, or 976, 940, and 550 exchange codes. 900 Blocking Services suppresses the ability to dial 900 numbers (or numbers with 976, 940, and 550 exchange codes) on your telephone line, preventing the associated charges from being billed to your number. The initial blocking and unblocking request is offered by Oxford Networks at no charge to you. Subsequent requests for blocking are fulfilled for a nominal fee.

Terminating Number Screening

With Terminating Number Screening, operators throughout the country are alerted that collect and/or third party number calls cannot be billed to your number.

A great feature for the elderly or for those who may want to contact someone if their phone goes off the hook for any reason. After 30 seconds, your line will automatically dial a predetermined telephone number. This number could be the police, a relative or a friend. Since the line stores this telephone number, all of your phones have this feature. To prevent automatic dialing, simply begin dialing within 30 seconds after lifting the handset. A small monthly fee and a service charge applies to have this feature added to an existing line or have the predetermined number changed. The service charge is waived if it is requested in conjunction with the installation of a new line or with the request for other customer calling features. Subject to availability.
